The Financial Snapshot Service

Sometimes you might just want someone to tell you exactly what financial arrangements you already have, what they mean, what they do, and how they might fit into your overall route to achieving your financial objectives.

Although we will still follow a process which begins with listening to you, to your needs, your hopes and your dreams, we will not then formulate a Personal Financial Plan, but for the Financial Snapshot Service we report back to you in a slightly different way.

We will prepare a Financial Snapshot report which will confirm and record all the details of your current financial circumstances, including existing investments, life assurance, pensions and other arrangements. This report will also include our comments on the arrangements you already have, and how suitable they are for the achievement of your financial objectives.

Preparing for your first appointment

Everyone's needs are different so before we get together, it's worth asking yourself what you really want to get from the Financial Snapshot Service, so please review the following checklist which will give you some areas to consider.  We will need to collect information from you in each relevant area:

Areas to consider:

Current financial position

1. Your current assets and liabilities
2. Your cash flow and how you spend
3. Cash reserves & savings
4. Overdrafts & loans
5. Current mortgage & mortgage needs
6. Current tax position

Protection planning

1. Cover in place in the event of disability, illness or premature death
2. Protecting your ability to meet savings/education objectives
3. Insurance needs & planning for business continuation
4. Protecting your personal assets
5. Health & long term care provisions

Investment Planning

1. Any existing investments including bank deposit accounts and ISAs
2. Current and previous pension arrangements
